okay, so i got everything i need to do this swap
i got an ex transmission, and i have a JDM DOHC ZC transmission with the 1.346 3rd gear and the 1.033 4th gear

i have everything assembled except i'm confused on what to do with the 3rd and 4th gear on the mainshaft

as of right now i have this setup

civic ex mainshaft with 1st and 2nd gear
needle bearing
zc 3rd gear
synchro
civc ex 3rd and 4th synchro hub, civic ex synchro ring/collar? i forget the official name for it
synchro
zc 4th gear
civic ex spacer, needle bearing and everything from the civic ex from here on up

what i'm confused about is the 3rd and 4th gears
if i use the civic ex hub, 3rd is okay but 4th seems too far away from the syncro hub
if i use the zc hub (flipped upside down), there's too much of a gap between the hub and 3rd gear

apparently you have to grind something, but i'm not too sure what i'm supposed to be grinding.

everything i've read is unclear, it says "If you use the ZC 4th gear it will require grinding to fit the synchro hub." -mista bone

does that mean that i need to grind a little bit off the zc 4th gear and not touch the sychro hub?

if i do that won't that screw up the placement of 5th gear on the mainshaft?

please help

or what about using a d15b8 3rd (1.066) as 4th? any grinding needed to be done here?
