Need help Before wasting money
Honestly I am very new to this.. But i do have a VERY good Mechanic to help me..I Have a 94 civic DX 1.5 liter. I want to do a big motor swap.. Like a f22 I really dont need a vtech Because it will have a turbo very soon.. Motor mounts Mine has 3 instead of the 5 on an f22 I found some for $500 That does not sound cheap. Is there a way to fabricate something to save money. And axles will i have to have custom axles.. I found every thing on ebay(not a swap)swaps are 2 high. half shafts, Ecu, tranny, long block .etc everything.. Labor is free money is not.. I dont want to half a$$ it i want it right. I tried to look here for info there is just to much to many options.. I know some one here has done it i just need some info as much as possible.. If it helps it is a 5speed and thats what is going back in it. is there a difference in linkage and or mount.

I concour. By the time its all said and done it will definately be far easier and most likely be cheaper to drop in a B18B.

There are a few different types of f22a's but yea a b18b1 wouldn't be too much slower than an f22. plus it would be much easier to swap a b-series in. But if you want to be able to come close to running with STOCK newer mustangs, camaros, etc you'll want atleast a gsr, jdm sir2 b16a, or an ls/vtec setup of some sort. Course if you boosted a b18b with say 7psi then that would certainly net you a pretty quick car that i gather would most likely give those vehicles you listed a run for their money.
