NEED HELP BADLY!!!!
Ok. First off, I have a 00 civic with a d16y7. Yesterday I was replacing my alt. belt. No big thing, when I was all done I tried to start it and I had power but, it wouldn't start. Just would click and all the power would be gone. Turn key off try it again and no power at all. WTF???? So, I checked to see if I might have disconneted something but, everything was good. So, I thought it might be the alt. SO, I had it tested. Passed with flying colors. Battery is good. Voltage to the starter.
When I let it sit for awhile the power comes back but, then try to start it and samething.
If anyone can help and point me is the right direction or even some diretion please do. Thanks

Yes, but that would kill the power. Right?

If your starter failed, you're going to have a hard time starting the car. Not sure if there's a good test to see if the starter's good or not beyond push-starting the car.
I'd poke around in the area you were working in and trace cables back to each end, make sure you didn't dislodge any wires.

If the power still comes on (radio, lights), your started could be locked up:going bad. Its happend to me plenty of times. You turn the key to start, and all you hear is a click-click-click, thats the solenoid trying to spin the starter motor. You best bet is to bang the starter with a hammer (or any other heavy metal object) while a friend attempts to start the car. It sould start right up. Also, check your connections on the starter.

Car is now running. It turned out to be a bad connection to the starter. All is good now and I can relax.
Thanks for all your comments.

Good, glad everything is working right. A new starter would seriously suck, maybe not seriously, but definitley would suck!
