Any one can point me in the right direction to a B18a into an eg swap detailed write up. bc every one i ask says everything lines up perfectly. but for some reason that didnt happen to me. passenger side and rear mounts did not line up(so do i use the d series mounts or buy some aftermarket hasport one?). and also i need to kno do i use the ls wire harness or the one from the d series..

mounts => use the ones from the B
harness => what obd is the engine? the car? if the same, engine harness will connect right to car harness.

yo barrett how do i check for which obd the engine is.. and i did try the b series mounts that came with the swap but it doesnt align

couple ways.
1) alternator - does it have a circle or long oval plug?
2) ecu - not sure how, but there is a difference in the plugs on the back of the ecu
3) do you have a diagnostic port on car? or a plug that you jumper to read error codes?

a b18a engine will not line up in a 92-95 civic without swapping brackets

you can use the original d-series mounts themselves but you will need to switch the timing belt side block bracket, use a 94-01 integra 5spd rear engine bracket, and 94-01 integra shift linkage

now the b18b engine will drop right into the 92-95 civic chassis with no problem

hopefully the b18a engine you got was from a 92-93. if thats the case then you just use the civic engine harness. if the b18a is from a 90-91 then you need to switch the distributor and injectors and use the civic engine harness

okay first off is the car auto? or is it manual? that would take things in a kinda new direction i just finished the swap in my car..
