Need help with b16a swap
Okay, so the motor is mounted in the car, but i've encountered a few problems so far. I'm putting an obd1 b16a into my obd2b 99 civic ex. The distributor on the obd2 setup has 8 plugs, but the jdm b16a has two plugs with a total of 9 wires. I figured out where the ones i do have to, but do i just leave one out? Also, the shift linkage i recieved with the swap from hmotors says dc2 vtec so i assume it's a gsr linkage, but the two pieces rub together and i can harldy shift at all with it, it won't go to first and second and the ball pops out the bottom. The end of it where the shifter itself bolts to is bent sideways, is it supposed to be like this / / or l l? Maybe the shifter is damaged? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Re: Need help with b16a swap (MrCivic)
Also, I've read that the d-series injectors should work, but they seem to be too big to fit in the b-series manifold. Is there something special i need to do to make them work? I'd rather not rewire the injectors Somone help a n00b out.

your d series injectors WILL work. just clean them before you put them in the b. all you have to do is color match the wires. the b16a dist has 2 plugs. one of them has only 2 wires, blue and black. cut the obd1 plug off, cut the obd2 plug off your obd2 dist and wire it to the obd1 dist. you will also have to do this for the alternator and run some extra wire for o2 and possibly vtec.
