need help with auto to manual swap for EG with ITR motor
I did a quick search but its pretty involved so its hard to get all the info. Im swapping my ITR motor into my EG hatch, which happens to be automatic. need help with a list of the things I need to complete the swap as we will be doing the work ourselves. I need to know if some of this stuff will work from my ITR or if I can only use it from a 92-95 civic. This is the list I have so far:
Pedal assembly(will ITR pedal assembly work?)
Throttle cable(I assume the ITR throttle cable will work?)
Clutch master cylinder(92-95 hatch or ITR?)
shift linkage/shifter(will ITR work?)
OBD2 to OBD1 adapter(which has to be VTEC compatible I think?)
motor mounts
anything else you can think of let me know. would you recommend avoiding this swap and finding a 5 speed hatch instead?

Re: need help with auto to manual swap for EG with ITR motor (RTW DC2)
basicly all that you listed will work, not sure about the harness, but all the mechanical parts for the manual trans will work fine, if youre not woried about doing a small amount of fabing where the shifter comes into the cabin then the swap is easy. you just have to cover the old holes and cut a new hole for the shifter to go through
the only other thing you will need to do is to either cut the top tranny mount off the frame and weld a new one lower or get a new mount made for the swap from place racing
if you have any other questons just ask

I vote ditch the auto and put it in a 5 speed. You'll be a lote happier. Hit me up, I'm in atlanta and my car has been through the auto to 5speed swap. Good luck!

why are you going to run an obd2 to obd1 adapter when you already have an obd1 car
