Need help ASAP! Stripped Block, Timeserts (So. Cal)
Heres the situation: I took my head off to replace my headgasket and install some Golden Eagle headstuds. As I am torquing the bolts down to 25 lbs, I come to find out that 2 or 3 of the holes on the block are stripped. After searching through the archives, I know that in order to fix it, I have to have timeserts installed, but my problem is that I do not have the time to go through the hassle of taking out the block and bringing it to a machine shop. So now I am looking for someone with experience to help me fix my block in my garage as it will be much easier for me. Of course labor will be paid for.
By the way, the motor is an LS/VTEC in a 97 hatchback. Thanks for the help.

Honestly man you dont want to **** that up, take it to a shop. I know a guy that would do it and he does it quick. Whenever i need an insert, a broken bolt out, anything bolts/nuts related i take it to him. Great guy, and only 1 out of 6 in So. Cal that does it and his the best. Let me know if you want his number and info.

Find someone that will trailer it to a shop for you it will be better in the long run then trying to have someone do it out of your garage.
