Need Help on Alternator Change?
My friend and I cant align the bottom part of the alternator. We took out the old one but with the new one we cant align the bottom part. The motor is a 94 B18B LS and the car is a EG hatch.
We could get the bottom part of the alternator to line up on the passenger side but the other end so the long rod could go through.
I try hooking up the top bracket first but then i couldnt do the bottom part. The left side of the bottom of the alternator have some groove on it so am i suppose to line them up with the bottom of the bracket?
No clue. So i give up for the day... Please somebody us.

I don't know what to tell you. Its pretty straight forward. You're bolting it in from the bottom correct?

Re: Need Help on Alternator Change? (SkoundrelUSA)
Im trying to align the bottom part first but i cant get it pass the round piece that stick out that look like a washer in order to mount the bottom. Any clue or tips on how to slide it into that spot?
The bottom bracket seems to be too tight of a fit in order to fit the bottom part of the alternator in.

Re: (B16b-EJ8)
Got it thanks. WD 40 and hammer. I took the alternator back and we match it. It was the correct alternator but on the new one the bottom bracket part on the pulley side have washer thing that stick out to much. So i did what the guy said and just hammer it down. Then i hammer the bracket part to move it just alittle too to fit it. It was a headache but it work. Thanks everyone for your help and time.
