need help, 95 civic ex won't run, don't know what else to check, pls lok
I'm asking for a friend, who's 1995 Civic Coupe EX w/d16z6 and no performance mods... won't run.
The car cranks but won't run
It has fuel, spark, and air...
A new Distributor
Tryed a new ecu
checked timing
close to 150 on each cylinder - compression check
The plugs were getting soaked in fuel while cranking but then wouldn't start
after trying these things the plugs aren't getting as soaked, but it still won't run.
The Car is now at a mechanic's garage and he's not sure what it is..(I know great mechanic huh?) but anyways he's tryed all the things above, and doesn't know where to go, I don't even know where to search...
If it has Fuel, spark, and air whats keeping it from running?
any help would be appreciated, the mechanic's not checking these things for free

when the distributor was replaced if it wasn't installed in the proper position the car may be getting spark but at all the wrong times...I've seen that happen before.

supposedly it's in right, and the timing was checked and is proper?
But I'll add it to the suggestions list of what to double check.. Thanks

yeah check if its distributor rotor is pointing at #1 plug when at tdc, and check all the necessary grounds for the engine. Also check if any blown fuses under the dash.

It came to him with problems, it was worse when he got it, and has gotten slightly better, the spark plugs don't get as soaked... but do still end up with a little fuel on em

we did, that was when I got involved, I let them use my p28

everyone seems to point to that, I'll bring that up with the mech.

You said you had spark, but if you pull the plugs they shouldn't be wet with fuel. What have you done to prove it's getting spark?

pulled 'em out and watched em spark while turning the key...

enough to soak the plugs, I don't know how much they are spraying...
It makes sense to me that somehow the timing is off, dist. turned wrong, whatever it is? I don't know.... I'm gonna try looking at that stuff, cu the fuel and spark maybe hitting at opposite times... if that makes sense
