Default Need help on 95 civic ex

I need some help. I had a blown headgasket, replaced head and gasket and now I can't get it to start. I am getting fuel but no spark. The tachometer is not moving while I am cranking either. I am getting a code 41 which is oxygen sensor I believe. Any Idea what my problem is. If it was the ignitor I would get a code wouldn't I.

Did you take out the o2 sensor when you disconnected your header/em to get to the head?

would i get a code if the igniter wasn't working. Would I be getting fuel in the cylinders if the igniter wasn't working.

not sure I'll check it though. Thanks for the help.
anything else.
What about codes. wouldn't i be throwing a code if the igniter was bad. would my injectors be firing if the igniter was bad?

41 isn't the O2 sensor, it's the O2 sensor heater (a heating element at the tip of the sensor, not sold independently).

One of two things happened, it's not reading it correctly (or at all), or you need a new O2 sensor.

Most likely reason: Short - but if it's a short it'll blow the fuse on the second row , 5th column on your underdash fuse box and you'd be throwing about 6 other codes so it's probably not that.

I'd try changing the O2 sensor out and see how that works. 31 dollars shipped denso universal from frank_2.0L on H-T.

As for the spark, make sure the distributor plug has power. Get a "OBD dizzy plug swap" diagram (which'll have the pin-outs for the dizzy plug) and see which one is power - make sure it's getting power.

If it's getting power then it's most likely a ground or your igniter.

EDIT:
Though seeing as a special circumstance entails where you just removed the head to do the headgasket job - my money goes on "ground problem." Make sure you tightened that ground on the VC and the other one underneath the distributor that u usually have to remove to get clear access to the thermostat.
