Default need help

i went to put my map senser on yesterday and a screw broke off with about 1/8 inch stickign out tryed vise grips couldnt get it out, anyone have any ideas on what to do, for no i put the one screw on and some silcone on there should i be fine or should i try to drill it out? thanks

how long have u been a member what happends when ur map senser isnt working?

what happends to ur car when ur map senser isnt working like what happends to the idle will it stall etc..

Try needle nose pliers. In my experience they're better for getting half-stuck in bolts out.

After that...I'll let somebody else tell ya, I'd say go for a drill, surprised vice grips didn't get it out. What happened when you used them?

the screw just crushed couldnt get a good grip when using vise grips and tryed needle nose

Blah, I'd say cut 'n restart. Fab a plastic bracket or something, can you post a picture of what happened?

Usually you can rig something up if you just look around for a bit.

ill see if i can get one its kinda dark outside umm but hwat i did was i put silcone around the part of the map senser that goes in the t/b and i tighted up the other screw pretty good u think this is ok

Probably, but when you have to take it off again...iono.

Sometimes it's better to just fix things once & for all to avoid problems in the future.

yea i no thats why i was asking casue its a new thottle body and wanted it done the first time and how will i no if the map senser is acting up?

If the screw is wide enough, and you can cut a slit in it. Like a hack saw, or a dremel, then use a screw driver. Usually works, unless they are stuck in there. Were you tightening it when it broke, or trying to get it out?

thighting it my friend lost the first screw so i went to advanced for a new map senser so i could get the hard wear but then i found out it costed $244.50 so i was like expletive that got another screw the same size and it was almost all the way down and was liek snap i was about ready to kill someone i was so pissed off lol

I was gonna say that too...but it's kinda small so iono .
