Default need h-t's help...i cant decide what to do. im confused.

ok i have a '93 eh2 with a d16z6 swap...it has a few bolt ons and runs strong. it needs a few things but i really like this car. i recently traded my carbon hood and hatch for a b20b block with hasport mounts. i was planning on doing a b20/vtec or b20 turbo build. but the difficulties finding a tranny has discouraged me and kinda turned me away from doing the swap. i have been considering trading my hatch for a dc teg or maybe a del sol...but im not sure. i would like to do the b20 swap and either boost it or put the vtec head on and have a hatch that runs pretty well. i would like to have a dc teg cuz i love how they look and would like to build one mildly. so help me out and give me your opinions...

1. should i continue with the b20 build??
2. sell the b20 block and keep the single slam and maybe boost it??
3. trade the car for a dc teg (if i can find one)

i just need opinions on which one to build...i dont have a big budget and dont want a race car. maybe 250-300 hp...but just something that mainly has pep and looks good. i just cant decide on which would be the better build. help me out guys!!!

well if your going to turbo the b20, you better sleeve it.

I vote for an allmotor b20 vtec build.

so your sayin keep the eh2 and do b20/vtec?? that WAS my first intent but considering finding a tranny is like finding a needle in a haystack...i just started considering trading it. i would really like to have the dc but the hatch would be a beast with a b20/vtec swap with a gsr tranny. thanks for the reply...anymore ideas??

You need to set a power goal, and then go from their. 300whp is way more than you need.

just putting a GSR engine will give you plenty of pep, and you can probably do that for as much as you are willing to spend building either engine. Hell you would probably be impressed with just a b16.

If you do the b20/vtec swap, you better make sure it is done right. There is a really good thread somewhere on here about it.

also, you should really make this decision on your own. Its your car. This place will give you their opinions, but its yours that matters.

Shop around see what you can find for cheap. Set a (realistic) power goal, and go from there.
