Need: Good Mechanic (S. Orange County, CA)

Hello, I'm new!

I'm looking for a good/great Honda mechanic in the South Orange County California area for my nephew who just 'acquired' a yr2000 Honda Civic in poor condition.

The car needs:

>Transmission work (probably clutch bearing).
>Alignment/front end work.
>Timing belt/chain

Car has 100k miles, approximately. I think it is an 'S' model 2-door sedan.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

bmoua,

Thanks for the reply! I'm really looking for someone in South Orange County, like Mission Viejo or adjacent areas (Lake Forest, Aliso Viejo, San Jaun Capistrano). This is for my nephew and this is his first car so driving to L.A. County is probably out.

Thanks again though for the quick response.

Hey dude, I live in Rancho Santa Margarita (which is right next to you) but I dont know of any near us. I have a friend who has been a mechanic for over 20 years in Garden Grove. He is a honda nut and has does everything from swaps, rebuilds, real race stuff, nitruos and oil changes. He has very extensive honda building knowledge and my whole family uses him. It's worth the drive even to just pick at his brain while he works. It is a hole in the wall shop but the guy is a genius, especially with honda's. His name is Quang, him and his dad own and run Van's Auto. They both do the work themselves and only themselves. 714-537-3955. Worth the drive my friend, worth the drive...

Hey thanks man! I spoke with Quang, and found him to be very friendly. I recommended him to my nephew and expect him to use Quang's services soon.

Thanks again!
