There is no answer for the questions you're asking.
The only way to do it is for you to find out what parts you need, and outsource them as either new parts, or used parts available online or in your area.
The same swap will cost different people different prices. There is no magic answer.
I think I did the math for an h2b swap into my 2000 hatchback a while back. I for the most part had a pretty complete list, and minus labor I think my cost was about $4,000 with a lot of new parts from retailers.
I'm sure with some craigslisting, online bargaining, and buying used parts you could do it for a bit less.

You could very easily Keep the D in there and take the money that you would drop for a K and build a turbo D and put 300 to the ground. But do it right if you are going to do it. That applys for all kinds of builds.

i entend to do everything right with everything i do on the car (its my "sol") i didnt really wana stay with the D just cuz the one i got has 319,xxx and no one wants a motor with that. and with the k20a2 it should put out around 200 just from puttin it in and a tune...if i read and was told correct.

Re: need Del sol motor advice - i want 200whp to the wheels
its nt really about the money, i just want good sturdy parts that i dont have to go swiching and moding the motor all aroung. pretty much i gata get the k mounts and the motor tranny ecu and wire harness, and ive seen people seeling them all as sets. you think any other motor would easyer to install and would be worth the money and the instant 200??
im not beeing bitchy btw...i re read what i wrote and was like....i sound like im yelling at them.

A k24 can be had for about $800, and that will give you around 160/160. Then you can always save up and put an k20a head on it. Just take your time. My choice if you were set on swapping the D would be K24 or H22, both have some good torque numbers.
Edit: If money is truly no issue then I would go K24 block K20a head.
