Need to confirm EG b16a using 90-93 teg axels?
I have checked the archive and have came up with many different answers. Some people had said that the axels were to short on the EG hb with a b16a motor and some say it will fit. I have a set of 90-93 teg axels with intermediate shaft and planned on using the axels with my b16a swap on my EG. I plan on using a 99 civic Si tranny if that makes a difference. If anyone can clarify if this works with no problems I would appreciate it.

i have used those axles temporarily and although they do work(sort of) they are too short. They don't come out, they just click while turing like a busted cv joint. just go to your local oreileys and change out your stock axles....with core exchange you can get brand new 3rd gen teg axles for $130. Don't go buy used ones off of the net when you can get new ones for cheaper.

True.
NAPA, AutoZone, etc. all offer lifetime warranty axles that usually cost like $90 if you give them your old axles.
Ask for 1994-2000 Integra Axles - LS, GS-R, doesn't matter. ANY Integra axle from 1994-up will work - even the ABS ones. Just knock off the ring.
And if the new ones ever click, break, boot tears, etc. you get the rest for free FOREVER. Can't beat that!

Okay, i just made this post last week. I'm assuming that you are using a cable type tranny so what you will need to use is the 88-89 prelude axles. I promise you they work because I did this same swap last week. The 90-93 teg axles are both an inch too short. If you are using a hydro tranny, you will need to use 94- integra axles. If you need any other help, let me know.
P.S. don't post stuff like what axles to buy if you've never done it yourself. There is a lot of **** that get put in magazines or get spread around by word of mouth that is total b.s.

I was refering to the axles for a HYDRO tranny since he said EG. Sure you can swap in the cable tranny, but how many of those do we see?
I am sorry for the "misinfo" if you have a cable tranny, but then again the guy did say he was going to use a 99 civic si tranny, which would need Integra axles from 1994-up or Del Sol VTEC axles, or 99-00 civic Si axles.
I assure you I've done my share of swaps, axles, trannies, etc. at my home and at the Honda shop I work at

Thanks alot fellas for clearing that up, I will use either the 94+ teg, Del sol b16a, or the 99 si axels.
