Need Ball joint tool for 1993 Civic

Need Ball joint tool for 1993 Civic
I have a 1993 Civic LX with a paltry 248k and right cv joint is getting bad. The delimma I have is trying to find a ball joint removal/install tool. Snap-on wants $1200 and it's a one shot deal for me so 1200k is a bit much for a little ball joint, Please help find me a ball joint tool. Thanks a plenty

take a craftsman 1/2 rachet.
jack up the control arm as high as it will go without lifting the car off the ground.
then place the handle of the the rachet between the balljoint and hub.
be sure its in there good and release the jack and it will pop right out without damaging the boot

^^^ that's a good idea. You could also do what I do:
Have the wheel/tire off and remove the cotter pin/castle nut. When you have it all exposed, take a large hammer and slam the front part of the lower control arm right below the ball joint. The area you hit has a little part that sticks out.
The shock of the blows will loosen the joint up. After a few hard hits, take both hands and quickly lift the entire rotor/hub assembly up. Bounce it up and down. If it doesn't come out, start hitting the area again with the hammer. Then go back and lift the assembly up.
Once you get it, it'll lift right out.
My friend showed me this. A few seconds of hitting sure beats $500+ on a joint removal tool.

I use this way too - best way EVER

ive rented one from auto zone once. i went and gave them like a $20 deposit and they gave me the tool, when i was done i took it back and they gave me my $20 deposit back.
