Sounds like the wheel bearings or the bearing races. Did you have the wheel bearings replaced while you had the spindle and hubs off?

No, I know it has something to do with the shaft cuz before I switched ball joints I was driving and my ball Joint on the passenger side broke and my car just dropped.then I towed it to the shop and my drive shaft was out of place and the mechanic said he thought it was broken but I didn't have the money to fix it so he told me he'd pop it back into place. I am just very worried because I have a little girl and another on the way so I rely on my car and I dpnt jabe the ## to fix it. I have already spwnt $1200 on it this month

The mechanic said it was broken so you know that much. You also don't have the money to fix it. As it stands no one knows how long you can safely drive with it in that condition. What's the question?

the axles are cheap. If you have a friend that you trust to do the work. Or that same mechanic, might cut you a break fro bring your vehicle back to him especially if he were to see those two little ones with you, knowing that you are more concerned for their saftey then that of your own. You never know what people will do.

I just picked up a CV shaft for my 99 EX. I think I paid about $70 including the core from AutoZone. It took me about an hour to change with common hand tools in my driveway.
