Need another gauge spot in your sol?
Woo woo. Whats up guys. Did this last night (well, early this morning) I was bored, had my cluster, my wideband gauge, screw drivers, a screwdrivertap, a punch, and a vice. Used only the screws from the cluster and the metal 'U' bend you get with all gauges. (meaning FREE)
Im going to take it apart again and get it perfectly straight, but i wanted to share
PS: If you need that little gauge that tells you if your windows are down or your roof is off, you shouldnt be doing this...

looks good. I bet the tripple pod wont look to stealthy, but there is NOWHERE else to put em. Boost, oil pressure, egt, and wideband O2. I have a fuel pressure one too, but i guess thats not going in.

for the creativity. I hate pillar pods myself and usually just shove the gauges in the glove box. too bad I dont have a del sol.

I did that in my Mitsu Mirage Drag Car, took out the Fuel Guage (running a 3 gal fuel cell) and replaced it with my boost guage. Looks good manga!

thanks for the replys. It took a bit of work since the gauge was so deep, it'll never go back to stock. Im just hoping that all the grounding screws that i had to take out of the back only affected the gauge assmbly i removed.

pic isnt working. My airbag is already blown and was thinking about putting them over there. But i cant see how they would be useful since you cant see them while driving/racing...

Another cool setup is the DEFI Heads up display that streetrays.com sells. You can have all of your critical sensors displayed on your windshield so you never have to take your eyes off of the road. Pretty pimp setup.

Usually there is a small side view diagram of the car that has warning lights on it to tell you if the roof is loose or that the back window is down. Right under it is a small digital clock.
I really like the way that looks. Good job.
