Need advice 96 del sol with z6 engine and y8 intake and crank
My actual ecu
Mine looks like 3rd one down.
I got a 97 del sol that came with a d16y8 and about 10 years ago a d16z6 was put in with a y8 intake and y8 crank with oil pump.
now i didnt know all this being kinda new in the hondas.
my timing belt broke so i went to working on it. Found i bent two valves so off to the mechine shop the head went.
i figured i would go ahead and put a new oil pump on so i did a z6 oil pump. Well that opened a can of worms for me. The oil pick up tube wasnt a match the mounting flang was different the holes was to small on the pickup tube and they was space to close togeather. I was going to just drill them so it would fit then thought the tube itaelf may be smaller. So i just ordered a d16z6 oil pickup to go woth the pump.
2nd thing i found out the ckfs doesnt go on the z6.
3rd i had a y8 dizzy that leaked oil because i only had one bolt holding it on. So i replaced it with a z6 and got the wiring adapter.
Now my question is can i cut the plug for the ckf and wire in to the dizzy instead of splicing at the ecu. ( can i tie in to the ckp) if so how do i do that what two wires do i use to make this connection. The white one the ckf would go to? And the blue wires would go?.
please if anyone has done this please let me know.
by the way i have a p28 obd2.
