Default Is it necessary/recommended to get new bushings when doing a 5 lug conversion?

I will be doing a 5 lug conversion and I will be having it installed at a shop. Somebody told me that I should also get new bushings while I'm at it. Is that neccesary? Does the process of changing out the brakes and trailing arms damage the old bushings? My car has less than 40,000 miles, so I don't want to change the bushings unless it's necessary. Thanks!

Changing bushings shouldn't be necessary, but upgrading to some polyurethane bushings wouldn't hurt
