Mystery Hose
I have a 1999 Honda Civic with a hose that is not connected to anything. The hose is boxed in red.
Here's a close up.
I think this (the red arrow at the bottom) is where the hose originates.
I believe it has to do with the air conditioner. It's been weak. I'd like to know what the hose connects to and where it should be connected.

Re: Mystery Hose
Either that, or it's the drain for the A/C evaporator behind the firewall... same general location. In fact, I kind of think that's what it is. It's why Hondas always have a wet spot under them right there when the AC is running. If it clogs up or gets kinked, you'll get water on the passenger footwell when the AC is running.

Where you see the hose is where it belongs. It's part of the EVAP system. What has happened is that the drain joint, which secures the hose to firewall, has broken. It's part #16 in the diagram.

honestly i dont think there is a need to fix it cause it dosent go into the fire wall where the screw is if somthing were attached which it looks like there was but it would still just sit there

I have two Civics and there both hooked up to the fuel filter. It doesn't drain anything, it just holds up a hose line that almost runs parallel to the firewall.

Re: Mystery Hose
Well, what I meant, it just hang off the fuel filter assembly. There is a square notch on the filter assembly and at the end of hose has a square shaped plastic end. It just hangs there. Odd. and no CEL
