Re: Is my honda parts store a ligit place to buy parts?
OP said the prices were too good to be true so I had to check. My buddies shop has an account with honda and they get a mean discount. I used to use majestic all the time until I found out what they were paying.

The only real con with majestic is the $5 handling fee.
Shipping is shipping.
Check with your local dealer first. Somtimes after you factor in everything majestic isn't that cheap, neither is hondapartsunlimted.com.
It really pays to order lots of stuff at once!!

Majestic gets you on the BS handling charge, that is the catch. If it is small order with shipping and handling not such a good deal.
Also try H and A Handa.
Price Honda dealers in your area, some mark up list, others charge list, you can see what list is by going to Majestic first to see if your dealer is up charging or not.
Also, I ask one of my local dealers and they give me a 10% off.

Yup that's true shipping is expensive for small stuff from Majestic. If you just need one
small part you're better off ordering it from a local dealer and picking it up yourself.
Also, my local dealership is willing to mail very small parts no extra charge. Not sure
if they all do but it's really worth asking.

Wow.... talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
I've installed parts ordered through the website on my friends Integra, two years and the condenser and alternator are still running just fine. It all depends on what you want to order I guess... Something important might warrant the spending of extra monies to insure a proper part...

How would buying from a place like Majestic with cheaper prices be considered NOT getting the proper part? Everything is OEM.

Be very careful with myhondapartsstore.com. If you have any problems with the parts they send you, you will be out of luck. Their customer service stinks. You have 48 hours from the time the parts are delivered to you to report any problems. After that you are on your own. I received an entire roof rack assembly with cross bars. When I received it, it looked like everything was there. When I went to install it a week later, I realized the four bolts and small brackets to hold the crossbars to the roof rails was missing. I contacted them right away but they told me I was past 48 hours and they would not help me. They suggested that I contact American Honda. I did and they told me that myhondaparts is an unauthorized third party vendor and they cannot help. My only option is to purchase the roof rack hardware kit which is $66. I will never do business with this vendor again!
