Default At my wits end with my climate control! PLEASE HELP!

First, yes I searched.

Okay so I'm super annoyed because I can't fix my climate control. I have the whole thing out atm, I've swapped units and tested both of them and they have the same problem.

The buttons that make the air go to defrost, middle vent, and low vent aren't making it happen. Everything else works on both units. Before I changed out my dash everything worked fine.

Anyone know what exactly a "mode control motor" looks like? And where it is?

Here's what I've checked/done:

Checked the fuses, not everyone but the one and "seemed" to control the air #13.
I've changed out units and tested both of them and they seem to have the same problem.

I'm clueless, usually I figure this kind of stuff out quick style, but this one has me stumped!

I'm going to go outside and check every fuse on the in the car right now. Be right back.

Any idea's? Did I forget to plug in some other plug when I swapped my dash?
That would suck.

Thanks in advance!

When I put my new dash in, the only plug that I couldn't figure out was the yellow plug in the pic below, I have NO idea where it go's and when I did my dash I didn't either. I hope I can figure this out because it's been bothering me for a while and it's not safe when I'm driving and my **** gets all fogged over.

Thanks.

Did some more searching and found this:

But I have no clue how to do this...no know how.

The yellow connector goes into the fuse box for the SRS system. You short that to get SRS codes.

There has to be something unplugged if it worked before you pulled the dash. I would pull the glove box out, lay on my back with a flash light and look around that area. You'll probably find it.

I did. I didn't find anything. I'm thinking it might be my mode control motor. I checked all the fuses and every plug I could see under the dash. Where exactly is the mode control motor located? I saw a diagram but I couldn't figure it out.

Thanks for the info on the yellow plug, I feel better now.

Yes, it is mounted on the side (driver's I believe) of the heater unit.

This is not from a Civic but it's in the same location and looks about the same as this:

My guess is yes.

When I swapped my dash, I systematically tagged every plug I disconnected with a sharpie and then plugged the exact same ones back where the belonged. The only plug I didn't tag was the yellow one because I didn't even see that until I put my dash back in, and didn't mark it. but to get my dash out I would have had to unplug everything, it just so happens the yellow one was never plugged in. I probably should just take my car to a shop because I'm not going to figure this one out. sucks. Thanks very much though.

And I still don't know where you're talking about in regards to the mode control motor. Do I have to take out my dash to find it?

I"m over this ****, I'm taking to the shop, this will be the last thing I fix on this car, even if I ever fix it. What a joke the amount of effort you have to put into removing and re installing a climate control, are you serious? Horrific design by Honda and probably the most frustrating fix I've ever done on a car period. Who makes wires on plugs 1" long so you can't get the **** off and god forbid you want to put them back on. GOOD GRIEF!

Well, it's three screws to get the CC unit out. I've done it and I actually didn't think it was that bad. Are you sure you're doing it right?

Yeah I finally got it. I just unplugged the main plug, and plugged in the climate control, and then plugged in the main plug. So it wasn't as bad as I made it out to be once I went back after I cooled down. But I am over trying to fix the problem though. I'm sure it will cost me, but like I said, I'm not doing for a while. Thanks for all the help though.
