my turn to get excited about ups....!!
well, i don't know my ups guy or gal...... he/she doesn't come around all that often, and when they do i'm not around anyway......... missed the delivery again today, but a little box was contently sitting outside on the doorstep...... yay! i can finally see what my car is capable of without the motor trying to jump out of the chassis......!!!

my place racing mount was only 145 from pitcrew motorsports and it gets the job done, however the hasport does look nicer and seems a bit more solid in construction.

i believe the hasport mounts can hold more power than the place racing mounts..... that's what i have read, at least. and, since i plan on making some big power in the end, i decided to go with what i knew would work. i'm sure that the place racing mounts are perfectly good for all but the most extreme setups, though.....
i'm ready for the rattling! on my way to install it right now............

Re: (chameleon)
okay, it's in............... the install took all of 20 minutes, of which i spent 5 looking for a rock to put my car on so i could get the jack under it...... the piece looks mADd usDm tight, yO! i took it for a test idle, as well..... i'll do the test run this evening............... the verdict?
before: well, with the old mount my motor would move around a little too much for my liking..... even just pushing on the motor mount i could get the motor to shift a few millimeters...... when i applied some gas with the tb butterfly i could see the engine actually shift about 1/4" to fore and aft. from inside the car under acceleration i could see the shifter move quite noticeably. it would pull forwards, moving farther as i pressed on the gas harder........ and if i got on or off of the gas suddenly there would be a solid jolt, even at low rpms............. not acceptable.
after: there is a slight increase in vibration......... hA! i'm only joking. there is a HUGE increase in vibration! as soon as i started the car it began rattling.... i found a screw that i had dropped behind my cluster just because it was singing it's metal on metal song....... excess motion in the motor? there is none..... and i don't mean that 95% of the motion is gone and i rounded off to 100%........ there is ZERO motion from the motor...... i went so far as to lean in and push on the motor..... nothing. NOTHING!
hasport gets a big from me..... i will definitely be getting the tranny and rear mounts in the near future.
my girlfriend is not going to be happy about this...........

They're never happy when it comes to our cars. Oh well, replacing that garbage drivers side mount is definitely worth it.

Re: (Team 4R)
man, I have the whole kit in my car and when its cold that bitch rattles like nothing else, but all it takes is to warm those bad boys up a little and it will be fine. I love it, no one really understands why I hook up the way I do (stock wheels and tires) its great. Mate them up with some nice suspension upgrades ( I have 5 way Tokicos with GC coilovers) and you'll see a hell of a difference at the track. Keep them, and forget about the rattling. GOOD BUY
