Re: My turbo/N20 project EG (mash her down)
looking good so far.what are the specs on the motor and engine management?is this going to be a mainly drag strip car?turbo and nitrous-useless unless on slicks.

Re: My turbo/N20 project EG (lohatch)
b16,stock block besides total seal piston rings
plan on running 10 lbs with a 20 shot if i ever needed it
AEM EMS is going to be the Managment
Its going to be a semi daily driver
It took me a prety long time to rip everything apart and get the tar up from the floorboard. But i was going run a cage but i changed my mind and iam going to do just a full itr interior so if anyone wants a kirk racing roll bar i have one for sale..Iam hoping to hit 12's in the 1/4 mile and then i will be happy

not dissing your setup, but unless you have a fully built engine that could handle a lot of boost AND a shotof nitrous,i'd say the nitrous setup is just a waste of time.it will only complicate setting up and tuning the engine management, along with the extra money required for the nitrous system.your stock motor is only capable of a horsepower level that is easily reached with a regular old bolt-on turbo kit.the complications of getting that extra 20HP through nitrous cfar outweigh the performance gain.you could run one more lb of boost and make about the same difference.....now,if you had a fully built setup, running a LOT of boost,an extra 100HP shot of nitrous on the top-end at the track may be useful.is this case,it's only really good for "i've got turbo....AND nitrous" for ohhhs and ahhhs.
again, not putting down your setup, but it doesn't seem very though out to me.

sorry bro but they might make you have a roll cage if your running in the 12's.

I know what you mean.I had the n20 kit laying around from when i ran it on my 99 si So i figured i would just throw it in there if i use it or not is a whole another story.LOL to the i got turbo and nitrous.I just want it to be reliable running 10 lbs i know iam going to have some problems when i go to first start it i think iam going to start it without the turbo on it at first

i wasn't sure what kind of nitrous system it was.if it's just a normal dry system i'd say it will definately cause problems as it raises fuel pressure to add the extra fuel.this works pretty well on a mostly stock motor/fuel system.this could cause problems with a fuel and management system set up for the turbo.if you've got a system using bigger injectors, different fuel pressure or different cycle rate sthan stock, you can see how it could cause problems.ideally, you'd want the nitrous controlled by the master engine management system so it can make the necesary ignition and fuel changes when spraying, and everything will work in unison.of course this would really only work well with a wet nitrous sytem.
