my tires rub <sadface>
ok aside from getting different rims, and avoiding bumps what are my options on eliminating my tire rub... now its not alot just when i hit a bump. i've heard of rolling fenders but is that ugly or what... cause the rims already sit a little inside the fenders.

rolling the fenders does nothing to affect cosmetic change. look up into the fender well, and you will see a lip along the edge of the fender. that is what is rolled up, to add for more clearance. removed almost all of my tire rub except for the rare occasion.
EDIT: just noticed you had 18's..... there's your problem

It should be common knowledge by now that it's impossible to drive 18's on a dropped civic without some creative/expensive modifications. 18's look ridiculous on a civic anyway. Sell em and get 17's. They look good and don't cause problems unless you're slammed.

I would have to agree. No wheel and tire shop should have let you buy 18"s anyway. 17"s are about as big as one should go.

before i get flamed, i'm in the process of changing my sol back to mild with no body kit and whatnot..........but i roll 18s(yes chrome) with a neuspeed sport drop and there's no rubbing whatsoever on them. you just need correct offset, in my opinion a 215/35/18 tire, and a very mild drop to accommodate the 18" wheels if that's what you prefer. me personally i'm gettin ready to go back to no body kit and some 15s once again.

Re: my tires rub <sadface> (delslowhonda)
I'd only go up to 16"s with an EG. 17"s look weird (too big)..and ur car will be faster with smaller wheels because of the smaller rolling mass.

The black couple is like a foot off the ground Sure there is littel wheel gap but that thing is ready for some off road action. It's probably higher than stock, even with a drop.

now that thing is slammed. If you put 18s on that it would look actually good but it would rub like a biatch.

How is this done? I can see the lip that everyoneis refering to...and when i hit a big enough bump my 17s rub just a little bit. So how does one roll the fenders? A pair of plyers and patience

Unless you are like me and can't fit your brakes under anything smaller than a 16" (well at least not anything that looks good)

Re: (JDMSleeeper)
^^^ thats what the vehicle for sale thread is for and you only have 5 posts so you can't post there so why would you post in somebody else' thread??
i think the 18's look out of place and that you shouluud go with a 16 or 17 inch wheel with a stock offset

Re: (JDMSleeeper)
What is thread even about anymore?
Get smaller rims original poster. Do that or get smaller tires (which wouldn't be a good idea).
