my SI hatch has only 81K and its startin to smoke a lil . can this be fixed?
i put a SI motor in my 93 hatch (d16z6 ) and this motor only has 81K miles on it but it burns a lil oil and smokes a lil.. why would this be happening already? can it be fixed without having to put a new head gasket or valve seals and stuff or is it hopeless?

Did you confirm that the motor only had 81k on it? JDM motors have 30k or less

Where did you get the motor from? If it was from someone doing a swap then chances are he did the swap because he wanted more power than the little sohc vtec could put out and he drove the hell out of it in the process. I've seen 40-50k mile Type R's and Si's smoke from hard use and running with low oil.
