Icon2 My SI 99 the air stay at full blast

civic Si 99 - the air is at full blast whenever I turn on the car, and stay on full blast regardless if the blower is turned off, or set it to 20% or 40% or whatever, it stayed at full blast.

Everything else related to it works. A/C works, heater works, or just plain air works also, it just would not SHUT UP! If I can at least switch it ON or OFF, I would be able to put up with it, but no, every time I switch on the ignition, there goes the blower at full blast.

please help me out with this i hte when i feel the air come out and make me frustrated when i dont know how that happen

Sounds like there is a problem with the fan speed selection switch or a resistor.

Has the dash ever been apart before...for ANY reason?
Did this problem just come about (new) or has it been an ongoing thing?

Sounds like your blower motor Resister has gone bad easy and inexpensive to fix. The resistor doesn't us any resistance at full power. All the other speeds dont because the resistor or resistors have gone bad cause if only one resister fails all of them wont work and all yo will get is full speed blower speed.
