i have a dohc zc with boost, and it will run fine.. but sometimes out of the blue.. it starts sounding like a wrx and looses power.. im thinking i fouled my plugs.. but if they were fouled it wouldn't lose power then stop and start running fine.. does anyone have ANY idea!!!

not 90%.. it was on and off.. but before i just got home it just wouldn't stop any other ideas..

when it sounds like a wrx is because your running on 3 or less cylinders....mine does it sometimes after i hit a big *** bump because the injector clip on #2 will pop off

I was going to say, 90% of the time it'll be because you are misfiring.

just checked the plugs, looking good..

yea, i just went out this morning and let it run and was pulling plugs and when i pulled them it didn't change so i it is misfiring.. but im getting spark to every cylider.. i can hear it arching, and i pulled a wire off the dizzy so i got a little shock... but what do you think is the case.. the distributor?

i just pulled off the rotor cap.. nothing burnt, it's definatly not a head gasket or burning coolant.. spark plugs are a little black .. but thats norm.. just cranked it up and now it's fine...

its from somthing not firing my motor used to burn lots of oil and when it idled for awhile the oil build up would cause a cylinder not to fire till it cleared.

when ever any car sounds like a boat u almost always have cylinders not firing

Im wondering if it is the tune. I have a 00 si, and my car will do that sometimes, like right after I get gas. But it will always go back to running just fine. The car never did it until I went with a chipped ecu running chrome.
