98' civic ex with a bswap and 2.5 inch exhaust all the way back. I have a revo short shifter off ebay, and poly shifter inserts. The bottom of my shifter where it connects to the linkage is rattling on my exhaust and I'm not sure why. It moves up and down about a half inch, so I can pull it up and it will stop, but its a pain in the ***. Anyone know how to fix this?

Have you checked to see if the two bolts that hold the shift stabilizer bar to the chassis are tight?

What happened to me was where the two bolts go, the metal tube where the bolts pass through got loose from the rubber part that bolts up to the chassis and that why it was hitting the exhaust. All I did was put a washer under the bolt and it hasnt hit since then
