Default my RPMs keep dropping LOW...

alright, my D16 motor in my 2000 EK hatch is COMPLETELY STOCK.

sometimes when im driving, in between shifts, my RPM drops sooo low, like around 100-200 or so. and sometimes, it drops so low that my motor shuts off while my car is in motion, and i have to restart my car while im driving.

this happens at least once every trip.

please, if anyone knows whats wrong, help a brother out!
thanks in advance.

check your distributor and all of it's components. it sounds to me like the problem i'm having and i'm pretty sure it's the ignitor.

Kind of sounds alternator related. You could get it checked for free at autozone.

i'd check the distributor and other ignition components. i had a similar problem in my vw where the rpms would start to drop when i let off the gas, often the car would stall before i had the chance to shut it off when i parked it. i just replaced the cap and rotor the other day and the car runs great now.

This also may happen if you did not give the proper warmup time after removing the battery cable
