man i am so pissed right now, i was at my girl last night playing xbox at around 12:30 and call me paranoid but i usually just take a look out the window at my car every 30 mins or so. so i am playing and something told me to look out the window and when i look there are 2 ******** sitting in my car trying to hot wire it. by time i get down the stairs to the car the ran off they were like 20 ft in front of me, but i couldnt catch them because i just had knee surgery so i cant run too fast. man i wish i caught them so i could have put a whoop *** on them.
they broke the whole ignition system so now the car cant start, by the way does anyone know how much that will cost to fix?? i am so mad right now

anyway the police got some good prints off the window of the car so hopfully we can get them and teach them a good lesson.

with a bad knee, i think you were fortunate you *didn't* catch them.. otherwise, you could be spending for more than a new iginition system.

its not cheap to fix i had to do it let me warn you dont go to the honda dealer ship try to get the parts for youself and in the mean time if you need to start your car there is a white cap thing on the left side of the colum pop that thing off and turn it with a key or a screw driver or something. sorry to hear about that dude

try looking on ebay for steering columns i know there is one for a 5th gen on there now but there is no key but all you would have to do is ask the guy if he has the VIN # from the car it came out of so you can go to honda and have them make you a new key for $8 i was gonna buy this actually for a piece off of it but i found it locally so my loss could be your gain.

A new ignition switch costs about $150 from Honda , install is a breeze. There is Two rivets that hold the ignition switch in place break those out and install the new switch. Then plug it in a there your done.
