My Review Of Ksports 36 way adjustable Coilovers for EG's
Ok my hatch has been down for a month and i did the following mods to the cars suspension
1 Ditched the Sprint springs with stock sturts for ksports with LCA
2. New inner and outer tie rods
3. new balljoints
4. ES master bushing kit
Note i do not have a front or rear sway bar! Brembo Blanks 9" rotors with hawk pads
i drove the car to get an alignment immediately. i drove there on soft. even with the steering wheel off on alignment. i was very impressed on how everything was much more im place. Very nice going around the curves and rides great
AFter the alignment
I decided to put some miles on it and i said screw it and put it all the way stiff. me and a buddy went through some nice cruising zones. he drives a coupe with Front and rear Eibach swaybars with Koni struts and Ground Control Coilovers with custom rates.
Coming off of the Exit Ramp i immediately hugged and blew his socks off going around the curve. the car felt way better than his going around the curves of the exit ramp. taking them Easily at 70 mph like nothing.
We Get out out to our local cruise spot to screw around and take pictures. we take off side by side i pulled on him since the car is faster but once we hit the curves he still did not stand a chance i pulled through the course on him like no other while me having rear drums and shitty CX brakes. and he has Integra brakes with 1" MC.
We took the course 3 times and decided to switch cars. So we went at it once again. His car had a massive case of over steer and i seen why he was falling behind so bad.
The Following saturday i went to tirerack to hit up the course and the last time iwas there i was running 58.39 laps on the course. this time i went out there i was turning 55.21 around the lap and this with only 2 days of real driving and still getting use to the suspension and the motor was untuned and i felt with more tuning with the hondata and the more time behind the wheel i could have easily turned a low 54 sec or mid-high 53 sec lap
Overal rating is that im very very impressed with the results of the coilovers. Hopefully next spring ill see how these will do on the course as well as the dragstrip.
here are some pix..

Re: (JDMlyfestyle)
when u adjust does it have lil clicks or anything to know how stiff/soft you are?? 36way adjustable is alot of adjustment, just seems to be overkill you know? Most high end full body coilovers are 16way, so, yeah just seein.

ohh i definately could. i could actually tolerate it on soft in the city. but not on stiff cause it rattled my brain horribely bad. i have some of the worst streets to drive on.

Waht rates are you running? I run 600F\500R on full stiff with my Ksports, and I will agree they are awesome. nearly tripled my speeds through curves on my shitty 13" tires. Cant wait to get my good wheels and tires on, should be even better.

Nice. I need to talk to andy at BKNW about getting higher rates.

Thats cool, that makes sense. Like on Koni's they have 5 different settings, this has six...sweet. But how do they rate them at 36 way adjustable? Is that all 4 coilovers adjustments combined? haha

I called Andy at Body Kits North West and he explained it to me once before,...I dont remember exactly how they claimed the # 36 but it DID have something to do with multiplying each coilover's adjustment capability by 4. Another thing is that: If you look at most of the pics, youll see that there are camber adjustments at the tops of the coilover where it attaches to the tower of the car, my kit didnt have that adjustment so I assume that its only on certain models,...that would explain why u cant add up to the # 36...... Either way though, these things out operform every other full coilover setup you can buy for under a grand!!!
Did you notice on the paperwork that came with them it said that this was "intended for track use only". Thought that was kinda funny,.... considering
