ARE YOU SERIOUS?? dont take it up to 10,000, theres a reason the stock rev limiter is 8200, if you want to take it a little higher maybe 8500 but thats a game you shouldnt play... also setting your V-t4Ck so low doesnt help either, it will slow your car down, Vtec isnt working when it kicks in that low... keep it at 5200-5500 range...

Hell no it's not safe.

1. That engine won't make power past 8000rpm

2. The valvetrain isn't designed to take revs over 8200rpm

Do you need any more reasons why that ECU is a bad idea?

Why would you in the first place?
Stock honda fuel maps are only good to 9000rpm anyway so 10,000rpm=

excatly, there is no point in doing that...no stock or nearly stock honda is gonna make power that high.

My VTEC engagement point was optimized at 4400 However, that's not to say that yours will be...

I never actually seen anyone run regularly above 9,000. I wouldn't consider taking it above the stock redline without reinforcement. Here's something to consider:

Hope that helps.

don't try to rev it that high, i have the same and the highest i reved was 9g, enless you got your head work to enable to go to 10g then that ok, but stock don't (say good night to the head, or even more piston through the block)....

Even 9k is too much. You're not a mechanical engineer with decades of experience, are you? What on earth makes you think that if it was good for your car to do that, Honda wouldn't have done it already?

all I got to say. Valve float, no power making up there with stock motor. I don't think that honda's stock inginition is capable of working way up there, so you are prolly missfiring like a ****. You are lucky if you didn't spin a bearing yet or weaken your bottom end.

Don't do this unless you wonna throw a rod really bad.

Dude even headwork won't let you rev that high without causing damage to the motor. you need to totaly rebuild the bottom end and it still won't be dependible at those rpms.

i hope by rev, you mean idle, and by 10k, you mean 1k. Your car will...well, if you keep ur engine at 10k, to speak in your terms, it go boom boom. So if you really meant idle at 1k, then that's safe, but make it lower, otherwise fix your car, cuz...again, it go boom boom
