Default My power windows are terrible...

The passenger side i could live with... but the drivers side has problems once it gets past like 60% down. If you bring it to the bottom, you have to pull the window while you click the switch. It brings it up like a couple inches, then the motor goes into overload.

I tried greasing all the tracks, it looks like the large gear thing rubs against the regulator, I don't really know. The vehicle is a salvaged title so I'm thinking maybe something was bent and its causing problems? It doesn't look too terribly bent but I'm no expert by any means. Anyways, I'm thinking it might be time for a replacement. Is it easy to replace yourself? How much would this whole mechanism cost otherwise?

Do the motors just give out periodically? They seem to draw ample current, my lights dim, etc.

Again, what if its the tracks that are bent or something?

sounds like a bad regulator to me. replace that ****, and use some silicone on the run channels when you reinstall the window.

Check on ebay. You can probably find them used for around 50$ a piece.
