Default My planned setup: Comments, suggestions and advice welcome.

This is it, im gonna start purchasing the nitrous items this week, and i just wanna know what you guys think. (I already have most of them)

-Jdm B16a sir2 w/ lsd
head: GSR cams, DIY P&P
block: sleaved to 1.8ltrs, JE pistons, GE Rods, 9.8CR, etc
-JRSC @ 8.5lbs on the street and @ 11lbs at the track
-AEM CAI
-Kamekazi Header
-Custom 2.5" piping for the street and open header at the track
-2 Stage Nitrous system (ZEX dry 55 shot before the blower to cool the blower temps and a 45 shot from a NOS noszle DP system)
-AEM EMS that i'll hopefully learn how to tune
-Clutch Masters Stage IV

Thats really all of the important stuff, there will be a lot of little things here and there. Oh yeah this is all in my stripped '93 CX.

On the street and off the bottle, I am hoping to be making around 225whp, but @ the track its gonna be a different story. My goal is to make about 350whp and not blow my motor. I might have to lower the CR more but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. I just wanna hit 11's and confuse some people at the track looking for my FMIC..

Anyway, what do you guys think? I'm trying to go a different route then the norm and this might end up being cheaper then a turbo setup putting out similar power, but maybe not. I'll be doin all the work myself and I'll be sure to keep the board updated just incase anyone ever feels like going this route.

I'm gonna purchase the nitrous first but not install it until I get the internals.. I don't wanna have to have to drive around with lowered CR especially if I have to go down to 9.1.

My suggestion:

You are obviously going to spend some money. Why not spend a few extra and start w/ a 1.8l block and bore to 2 liter (close to it).

I`d also go w/ a better header. My JRSC loves the comptech full race header!

Also, if this is a daily driver, I`d go w/ Hondata.

Ryan

Actually, part of the fun is that im doin this with a b16 and a JRSC.. two hated on units, so im trying to make power with 'em the best i can. You are right that it would be smarter and start with a 1.8ltr but that route just isnt for me. I will definetely consider your suggestion about the comptech header. I saw it on ur setup and it looks like a bitchin piece. How much did it set u back?

Although this is my daily driver, Hondata can't support a 2 stage nitrous system on an already FI'ed engine. At least thats my understanding. Thanks for the input.
