My new plan for now...
Well this past week iv put 2qt of oil in my car this week. There is no puddles under the car in the morning, No smoke coming from it, and the only oil leaks I know of are small from the dizzy O ring, and valve cover. I cant explain where the oil is going and at this point I dont guess it matters.
The car is a 95 HB with a non-vtec D15. Im thinking for now I want to buy a JDM D15B vtec and throw it in my car for now. Im thinking about a few upgrades to throw on it.
I have in the closet I have a skunk2 Intake mani, Skunk2 Throttle Body, DC Sport Header, and a Zex kit im thinking about throwing on it and running a 50 shot. I thought I would also since the motor is out get a light weight flywheel and better clutch.
Im also thinking about adding a LSD unit to the SI tranny I have laying around and replacing the long geared tranny I have now. Where would be a good source to pick up a LSD unit?
And what do yall think about my plan? I know a turbo D was my plan but this motor is just not healthy enough to do it with and since I have to zex it and all these parts laying around I thought this might be better. I mean a 130hp base is not that bad in the honda world right? Just sayin.... :D

If you're going to swap might as well get something a little beefier than another D. Sell of the stuff you have laying around to help fund it. Otherwise rebuild the D & boost.

...when you rebuild your current motor it won't matter much the condition. everything will be new and shiny. just stick with what you have and turbo+mini me it. you'll spend the same or less money and have the same or more of an engine.

Re: My new plan for now...
Ya but a of now my HB is my DD. I cant afford for it to be down for a build right now.
I was looking at a B swap to lastnight but I can get the D15B vtec for 645. If I get a B20B its 625, but I need mounts, tranny, axles, and the list just grows...
I thought with the D15B swap im looking at 800.00 or so and im back on the road in a day or two. Im kinda just trying to stay above water on this one right now.

Re: My new plan for now...
oh well that makes it a lil trickier. you still gonna turbo this one?
just since you already have it go ahead and throw on those parts after you get it.
and to the LSD. find one, get one, love it. it is quite a noticeable difference between having one and not. try to avoid the OBX if possible...its obx. if you do get it take it apart and check it just cuz. i'd say quaiffe if you can.
the 130 wouldn't be too bad considering your in a D but in a race its still not going to do much. save for the button.
