I may go with a different tranny, but that's just me.
Also I would take out the nitrous.

Re: My new motor set-up....I need your oppinions (Halo)
All that stuff sounds great, but you spent all your money on your motor and left pennies for your tranny. First of all let me share my experiance with b16 trannies and power.
B16 tranny's and nitrous do not go together, especially with the potental power that you motor will be putting out alone. I hear too many stories of people destroying the differential, and everyone I know has a problem with 3rd gear synchros, that is the strength issue.
The next issue is that the gears are terrible for nitrous/turbo/high hp applications. If you go for the gearing of the gsr tranny, or possibly the ls tranny, you will have faster times. This is because the longer you are in a gear, the more duration of nitrous/boost your motor will recieve, and intern the more power you will make. Your motor alone will make enough torque to turn those whels with a ls or gsr transmission, just imagine your wheel spin with the b16 tranny out of the hole.
And I hope that you did not forget LSd into the mix, because I dont care how much power you will make, you cant go anywhere if you cant hook up, and one wheel will not get you there.
My $.02

Nitrous?
I wouldn't go nitrous because I don't like it. I mean sure its a great way to go faster, but a 1/4 time with nitrous just doesnt count in my book. But thats just me, others will defintely disagree.

Well I am basically getting the NX kit for free to demo, but I guess I will sell it. If I have to choose between my tranny or NX, the NX will lose.....Anybody interested in a NX direct port kit?

On a 1/4 mile time slip, there are no mods named, just
RT
60ft.
1/8
1/4
mph
I know some people dont get off like others with the whole "straight line" thing, but to others, water couldnt nurish better.........
Nitrous.....good power adder, and the cost is minimal, until you blow your motor, so tune and you cant loose......dont sell the kit, spray it.

That sounds like a pretty serious set-up.
With the 75 shot, slicks, and good elevation, you could probably hit an 11 with that setup (I'm assuming this is going into your hatch).
* http://Of course it won't "count" ca... using nitrous *
But seriously, why is running an 11 with nitrous any less impressive than running an 11 with a trubo?

You can have a fast all-motor car on the street (or autocross, road racing, etc)
and then have a beast at the strip, using the nitrous.
That doesn't sound like cheating, to me.
That sounds like "Having your cake and eating it too"

Re: My new motor set-up....I need your oppinions (Halo)
Looks like a mean set-up Halo. I have to go with the others though with the anti-nitrous statements. First of all, your engine should be making a lot of power without it and two- i think nitrous is cheap but thats just my opinion. Building a motor shows that a person has the knowledge and time to put into their car, nitrous doesnt.
That last guys set-up doesnt seem too bad, I see several people around here running high *** comp. with chipped ECU's and not very large injectors and putting quite a bit of Hp to the ground. Definitely fast cars, but we do have 93 octane here so we can push it a little bit

GSR heads will also outflow B16 heads on the flowbench
Good luck with your new motor, sounds badass... why Ross pistons, not IB spec wiseco?

another spin on the head aspect
I have heard opposite from what halo is saying about flows specs
but the gsr is supposed to make more power. stock vs stock.
it would be an interesting dyno
to halo:
what lmas are you running?
which intake?
bearings and rod/head bolts? going honda or acl / honda/arp bolts?
injector sizing? 310-350 should be fine
oil pan?
why not toda or other valvesprings? jun hasnt been going to well on most of peoples heads
you going to get everything port matched to fit properly?
as in head to im to tb
