My new engine comes TOMMOROW!!
Finally got around to ordering a swap from Import Auto Salvage.
2001 GSR swap. 23,000 miles
$4000 plus shipping, kick *** deal I think.
Randy was a great guy to deal with. He even asked me what car the engine was going into, and what I needed to complete the swap. He included the GSR throttle cable, and Si engine mounts.
Pics will be up tommorow afternoon!

Not really. Yea, I could have got a JDM GSR for cheaper, or maybe a USDM cheaper...
However I didn't want to go thru all the **** to get a jdm engine up to USDM emission standards. Plus, how can you know the quality of engine you are getting from across the world?
IAS has quality swaps. I didn't want anymore headaches, I wanted a guaranteed product.
Finding a honda engine swap locally is nearly impossible as well.
Perhaps you sir can tell me of a more dependable place to find really nice USDM engine swaps?
Oh, the engine is going into a 2000 Cx.

Don't worry about the price man, you'll put that motor in and never look back. I understand what you're saying, IAS has a good reputation and Randy and them are supposed to be good guys, so its nice to have that warm feeling about the motor you're going to be putting in instead of having to worry about your product...
Get the pictures up as soon as possible.

Damn you!!
Another plus is 99-00 GSR ECUs plug directly into 99-00 civic wire harnesses. I bought a 00 Si harness to make things even easier for me.

Re: My new engine comes TOMMOROW!! (FifthGearOnline)
I got my swap from IAS, came with everything and MORE than what I needed to complete the swap, the only thing I had to buy was fluids. That is it. Nothing else. IAS rocks!

Funny how people run to the lowest bidder when it comes to engine swaps, and then bitch and act surprised when they get ripped off.
When i almost bought a swap, IAS was who i talked to and they were great. Have never heard a bad thing about them.
Good luck with the swap.

Looks great! Yeah I wouldn't think twice about spending that much at IAS for a clean honest swap with everything you need packaged the way it should be. Good deal, nice swap

Congrats, I liked your last VSM coupe. I remember it from CSi (shutters at thought of CSi again). I know the hatch will look equally as good.
