Default My new "EK"

Hey guys (and gals) this is my first car. 97 Coupe. I've been reading h-t for the last couple months and finally got around to posting some pics so here they are.Photo cred goes to Calley
Engine- B16A2
Manual tranny
other insignificant interior mods
AEM exhaust
Suspension- skunk2 coilovers with 1 kyb agx shock, others are stock

I'm not diggin the hood scoop too much but I'm broke so not really much I can do about it. Thinkin rear disc conversion, new shocks, and tons of security work. Opinions appreciated

Hmm, car looks good, but clean it up a bit with better mirrors and hood, that's a good place to start

Yeah I've had this one about 4 months now. It's a blast. And yes, that silver coupe is mind, idk why the pic link is not working. The first replier was able to access it apparently.

Oh cool man I like the color and love the front end, im just not a huge fan of the coupe, because I see them EVERYWHERE.

If I were you I would get rid of the following.

-Rims (too big)
-Side mirrors (too ricey)
-Spoiler (coupes look better without them IMO)
-Hood (that hood scoops has got to go!)

Also lower it a little (unless it already is hard to tell because the tires are so big)
coupes look sexy when lowered.

Thanks! I think I'm going to keep the color maybe have it repainted eventually (some small spiderweb cracks nothing major though). In retrospect I would have preferred a hatch but alas I have already bought the car. Next time though...

yeah 17"s. I might go to 16"s eventually.
it's slammed.
thanks for the input, I definantly agree about the mirrors and *expletive* hood scoop. However I like the spoiler, that's just my style I guess.

I wish my EK hatch was silver, it's midori green which I am not too fond of, but i'll live with it.

Hmmm midori green... it can look pretty good. Not my preference but not bad. My favorite is black hatches.

It does look really nice! I'm glad I got a silver one. Couldn't find a black anyways.
On a hatch...it'd be even more amazing.

What kind of rims do you want? You could most likely sell the ones on there and get a decent amount of money for some really nice Rota's Make sure to get 16" and get 205/40/r16 for your tires, that looks the best IMO and will look sweet on your coupe.

The Rota GT3 are my personal favorite.

Rota's would be amazing. So many to choose from...
I'm going for performance mods first though. Then getting rid of the hood scoop. Then wheels and mirrors.
Haha this will be the slowest build ever.

I was thinkin slips but it seems like everybody has them
