Bump for more info on this.

I have a '92 hatch with a JDM SOHC ZC motor and the temp gauge is right where it should be but when I open the hood after regular around-town driving its really hot.

I added a block-off plate beside the radiator where the A/C condensor would be to force more air through the radiator so that may have contributed, but my EK came stock with a block-off plate and its never that hot under the engine bay.

my motor seems to be really hot too, but it only got that way after I swapped a DX manifold in and took the heat shield off..

relax b16 motors are hot suckers, they dont have torque so to make power you have to rev it... therefore it gets hot.If your temp gauge isnt goin up then relax. I have a turbo b16 and my friend has an N/A one. honestly his engine bay is only moderately hotter than mine.

Maybe its cause I took out the header heat shield. I took it off at the same time my car was fixed.
