Default Is my Mechanic Scamming me?

Im in the process of getting some springs installed and the mechanic said that my rear bushings are seized to the tables...... and the whole table has to be replaced....... does this make sense??????
I though a bushing could be removed no matter what, i never thought a whole table would have to be replaced????
My car is a 97 hatch...does this make sence or is he ripping me off...
thanks

it sounds like it. if its stuck you can burn it out with a blowtorch. do your springs yourself, its easy.

sounds like a scammer to me. I guess he figures install won't take him that long and he needs more of your money. if he does have the right tools, the rear bushing can be removed by a hydro press machine. get a second opinion from a competent independent mechanic.

that's why I think it's a scam.

i.e. blinker fluid, muffler bearings and so on.

Bad choice of words, but we have both been going to this mechanic for a long time, and he is a very competent mechanic, he is not in it just to scam us, but this seems a little fishy.

And its the lower arm connected to the bottom of the shock, that bushing is seized.....

Sounds like he is trying to rip you off. Like previously said just do it yourself and save some money.
