My lights are acting up.
Well I installed the fog lights, everything worked perfectly. Then I did the wire swap so they run with just parking lights, and everything worked fine except now my gauges dont light up, and my lights don't blink when I set the alarm. I replaced the 7.5a Taillight/license lights fuse (32) with a 15a fuse. I looked and the fuse is not blown. I don't see how anything I touched could possbly affect whats happening. All lights work fine, fogs, front, and rear, just like normal, except for the problem with the other things ^.

I just tried with a 10a fuse, and still same problem. I'm wondering if any of these wires that connect to the fog lig harnesses are for either the gauge lights/alarm misc.

Yea I swapped the female red/white to the female red/green, and the male red/white to the male red/green. I think the foglights wouldn't come on with just the parking lights if i did something with the wires wrong, but thats not my problem. Can other fuses have blown, just by putting a fuse 5 amps too high??

haha, same thing happened to me. the dash light fuse popped. i just took it out, and replaced the 7.5 fuse with a 10 fuse. hasn't blown since..

it says it right on your dash light cover, but to be safe check all of them, and if you don't find the prob. there, check your wiring, some times you can't run a fog light to the running lights, do to the fact that it's not putting enough amps out to run the dash lights, running lights and your 35 watt fog lights, just run if off another power source, (like your ing. switch. and hook a tago switch to it,

i had the same problem. it's def your dash fuse. i think i went with a 10 or 15 amp fuse to accommodate the extra current.
also, try not to leave your fogs on when you get out of the car. it'll blink with the parking lights when you act/deactivate your alarm, and the lead on the alarm's brain could fry because of the extra current from the fogs. this happened to me as well.
edit: and btw, you dont need the 15a for the rear tails/license plate, it's best to switch that back to 7.5a

yeah, check the fuse box cover under your dash. tells you everything.
dont worry about the power source from the running lights, because the fogs run off of their own relay anyway and get their own juice from the battery. you should be cool after upping the amps on the dashboard fuse.

Re: My lights are acting up. (sik)
Ok thx, i'll try that, but you said the fogs run off the relay, which I bolted to the knee bolster's left bolt instead of where it is supposed to go along with the ground becuase my alarm is in the other place.
And btw, I don't have the kickpanel fuse diagram, so if anyone knows this number for dash lights, becuase I don't.

yeah dont worry about where the relay is, as long it's grounded and secured.
sorry, dont have the diagram on hand right now, i'm at work. but look for a 10a (or is it 7.5a?) fuse and pull it out. if it's blown you found the right one. at least you dont have to pull out all of them. i think it was a 10a.
