Default My jack clicks and squieks when used.

What should I do about this? I have some hydralic jacking oil. It is brand new, I only used it about 2-3 times. Is this loud clicking normal? Also, if I wanted to lube any places to prevent squieking, where would I lube it and what would I use to lube with? I spent 100$ on it, might as well take good care of it. It is a sears 3ton hydralic jack w/ two jack stands.

yah wouldn t worry too much about it as long it can raise your car up and you can get your axle stands under your good to go sorrie to get off topic but i was wondering how many feet or inches does your jack raise cause i want something little more higher than my michelin jack which is only 2 feet which is still great but sorta want something that would raise higher

I was wondering about the height of how much it raises also, mostly because of the front is off center(I only use the jack point it says to use in the helms manual) and you can't put the stands as high as you can actually jack it. Anyone have any *safe* jacking points to eliminate this problem? Also, I will call sears about the clicking, because it seems that this is not a commen problem.
thanks

Take it back, no sense in risking your life using a faulty jack especially when theres a warrenty.

If you don't need to take the wheels off use ramps. Could be a lifesaver - literally.

agreed, but if you need ot get it up higher than ramps can allow it get the jack and return it, as stated before no need to risk our life on something that is soooo easily replaced and taken care of
