My Horn on my 97 honda civic isnt working?
I just bought a 97 Honda civic coupe ex and the horn doesn't work we checked the fuse and the horn and they are both good and we took off the face plate thing on the steering wheel and everything is hooked up beside the airbag and we know the switches are good we haven't checked the relay but could there be any other problems?

Try running a wire from horn and touching the positive battery terrminal. Does horn work?
If so, It's either the relay or fuse most likely. A new horn is $30, not sure about relay?

Good luck, I know my wiring is screwed up somehow. My relay clicks and supplies power and horn works...somewhere in between is screwed up.

is your SRS light on? does your cruise control work? if no to both or either one, it could possibly be a clock spring/cable reel. (it sits behind the airbag)

The horn relay is about $20 from honda dealer I think. Horn relay is under hood in fuse box.
It's #52. Look in owners manual for location.

as mentioned above, the clock spring/cable reel is located inside the steering wheel behind the airbag. if you google the image, you will know what you are looking for. if you have a friend with a similar car, you can swap theirs in to test if THAT is the problem. good luck.

lol!
google it, you'll see the part. then check continuity from each pin on the steering wheel side to the corresponding pin on the chassis side... if each pin doesn't have a solid connection to a pin on the other side.. it's bad and needs replacing.
