My Honda Civic 1999 Overheats when driving over 65MPH during the day
I've been having this issue for some time now.. i have replaced the radiator and the problems continues. this would only happen during the day.. here in Belize the weather is very hot during the day. this problem does not happens at night. my car runs nice during the night. PLEASE ADVICE.. as i said this only happens during the day when i am driving far and the sun is hot. i would never allow for the temperature gauge to go over 3/4. i would always be monitoring the temperature gauge so it would only go a little above half.. In the city it drives nice.. this problem only happens when driving at fast speeds

i did replaced the thermostat and it still continues to run hot.. One mechanic is telling that it can be the water pump and the other is telling me that the radiator needs to be flushed.. Any suggestions as to what the problem could be??

I'd check your water pump for starters. Check the fluid level, your radiator cap and hoses. See if you can do a pressure test as well.
I had a bad thermostat on my 1996 EX and at speed there was enough air moving to cool the engine, but, when slowing down it would begin to heat up. You have the exact opposite of this problem. A quick way to test the thermostat is the upper hose will be hot and the lower hose only lukewarm.
