Default my heat doesnt work, help!

like it says since it started to get pretty cold my heat hasnt worked. i have a 93 coupe ex with a b16a jdm. the heat used to work before, but i never tried ti when it was really cold out since this is the first winter i have had the car. but when the car warms up and then i turn the heat on, the temp gauge goes back to the bottom and no heat comes out. any suggestions?

Sounds like your thermostat is stuck open.

the thermostat is located undernieth of the gooseneck isnt it?

check the switch behind your engine....wire might be loose...

when i didnt have enough coolant in my motor the heater wouldnt work. might check that.

The plastic box with a wire on it that opens a valve and lets coolant flow into your heater core. It's attached to the slider in your climate control area, so check the firewall right near the middle of the car and by the heater hoses. Follow them and you'll find it.

Also, if you're low on coolant, since coolant is what drives your heat system, fill it up if you expect any kind of hot air to blow around.

check coolant level if its been a while i would flush the system.
cause if the coolant is low then you will have no heat!
