Default My H22 del Sol

Hey everyone, I just got some pictures back today of my del Sol that recently got an H22 swap. I have a bunch of pics, but I thought that I would only include a couple so that it wouldn't be so hard on those of you that might have 56k. I'll appreciate any comments you have, good, bad, or just flaming.

95cxhatch: Those are OEM springs, but it is dropped in the front a little from the extra weight up there. I think it came out to be a 1" drop in the front almost...I would use aftermarket springs, but the oil pan is SO low as it is...same goes for the header.

CodeDawg: Haven't taken her to the track yet...I am getting slicks this week hopefully so it should be running sometime soon.

STEALTHMODECOUPE: very tight...but as you can see, there is no AC and no power steering, so it has some clearance.

Drive well...turns like ****. But then again, couldn't turn in the first place. As for the install, it's the same as an EG chassis.

Damn, so lots of understeer, eh? It's cool that you added the JDM crack to your taillight. Looks clean. Sweet ride and nice swap.

I wouldn't know about the understeer...I mean, I just don't floor it or even gas it much through turns...I did it once and it felt like all four tires, but the front moreso, were losing traction so I decided not to do that again.

But this is a del Sol it could never turn in the first place, but I do know that it felt a hell of a lot more nimble with the D-series engine in there, but to me, it's worth it.

If you haven't noticed from my comments by now, I'll just tell you up front that I take it real easy in this car, it can and will get out of hand with too much throttle and before you know it, you're spinning like crazy.

I don't know, haven't taken it to the track yet unfortunately, being in college doesn't afford me much time.

But like I said, I should be ordering some slicks sometime this week. When I get those, I'll be down at the track ASAP.

handles like **** ? I dont know man you must not have anything setup right. my car handles great and pulls through the turns good with the little extra weight up front.

I have tokico 5-ways and intrax 2.5" drop springs though. _shrug_

props on the swap. who did it ? I did mine myself so i knew it would be done right. email me and we can get together sometime. Id like to check it out.

I coulda swore that little yellow del sol was unstoppable at ustcc .. but it was outlawed because it didnt have rear seats from the factory ?? they were just tired of loosing to a sol. hah.

Well...it probably has to do with the fact that I am running the stock suspension. I have no need to drop the car as where I live, I go down all kinds of inclines and declines, so I can't really drop it or else I'll bang the oil pan and header.

I had my swap done by All Version.

No thanks...the header and oil pan are low enough as it is, plus, it doesn't look that bad. I was talking about it with the guys at the shop that I bought the engine from and they're saying that if I do lower it, to only lower it an inch.

But yeah, it's fun to drive, and it should be even more fun once I get those Skunk2 stage 2 cams in there.

Right there, you can see that the header and oil pan are low enough as it is.
