Default my gauge has its own mind.

94 civic cx hatch. jdm d16a with si tranny.
i swap the motor and gauge in about a month and latley i notice my mph speedo guage is wack. it would sometime move really fast up and down, hitting like 120, then down to 30 than back up to 80. it would do this for a few seconds and stop. sometime i turn my key to ACC and wait about 10 sec and it would do it too. the gauge cluster came off a ex civic i bought off ebay. my mph is off by 4 miles.(traveling at 60 real speed is 56) anybody have anyclue of what could cause this...bad gauge, electrical errors, or my vss is broken? thanks.

i'm with this guy, VSS.

then again, you bought the gauge cluster off of ebay so who knows. check out the VSS since it's probly easier and then go from there. good luck.
