MY gathers/maplight installed.
if in wrong spot plz move.
ive seen afew pics of this thing but none installed somewhat correctly so heres some pics of mine. real quick my car (94 civic hb) has no sun roof. if you have a sun roof you will need this piece of rubber. without it your car will look hole-e
this maplight i believe has a mounting point in Si's but in cars with no sun roof there is nothing to mount it to so you will have to make a mounting bracket, i used a steak knife to cut a hole in the head liner so if i take this thing out there will be a hole but who would want to take this thing out.
pics are a bit blury sry. simple add on took me 30-40 mins probably be harder to find the maplight then to put it in

Re: MY gathers/maplight installed. (john666)
just for reference so others can see the difference from the gathers and the non gathers maplight. hopefully the thread starter doesnt mind... (the small latch is so you can access the manual sunroof mechanism without removing the maplight)
no more using my flashlight !!!

the actual clear area actually is the same exact part. they reused this part of the maplight for the 96+ ek's minus the surrounded mounting plastic. this is an oem optional part that came on eg4's and eg5's of the 92-95 hatch.
so in other words on the ek's you will only have the clear plastic part in the headliner.
